ssartel

I recently bought a Celeron 900 and am using it on an ABit BH6 Rev 1 with SS bios. I have been able to OC to 1116MHz with some minimal stability problems. However, today I downloaded Motherboard Monitor 5 and am concerned about CPU temp readings. I'm not positive I have the program set up right but I am assuming that the LM79-Tekram Probe is the sensor on the Asus S370-DL sloket that I'm using. It's giving me a reading of 56 degrees Celsius which alarmed me, but the case temp is only 22 C. I have the side of the case open as well until I figure this out. I'm using an Antec Solution Series cooler that pushes 24.4 CFM at 5300RPM. When I saw that temp, I shut down the machine and pulled the heatsink off the CPU but it was cool to the touch. I thought I read somewhere in one of the forums that these slokets give bogus heat readings. If so, what are my options? It doesn't matter if I leave it at 900MHz or push it to 1116. The temp sensor always says 56 degrees C. It sure seems like bogus readings to me. Any input is highly appreciated. Don't want to cook a good processor. Man, does it go(just upgraded from Cel 366 and added ATA 100 card and ATA 100 drive. What a difference.
