k first, my mobo has the small holes, supposedly they come with fiber washers they just never point out which is the fiber washer for the smaller holes, im assuming its the flat blackish ones.

second, it didnt come with the flat plastic washers i have plunty of the washers with the lip im guessing these would work just fine, or could i just say screw the washeres and just not use them.

third and finally, how do you apply the thermal compound, i mean how much exactly and if i shouldnt let an touch outside the core area and such.

if you have the holes with metal rings you could use without washers. dont use the washers with the ridge they will raise hsf up off chip. one thing you can do is use nylon bolts or studs to bolt heatsink right to motherboard or go to the hardware store and try to find the right washers. apply thin coat with credit card, razor blade, or something similar onto core
