MSN error messages

Man, I keep getting this messages everyday. It's annoying. Can anyone help me w/ this???

i've gotten that a few times but usually i just restart the program and it works fine. if you haven't tried reinstalling it you probably should, and if you still get problems check back.

I have gotten that w/ my previous version of MSN msgr. I still get them after upgrading the newer version which I downloaded last week. I dunno if reinstalling is gonna help but I'll try it out.

Hmmm, reinstall as suggested.

Could be a software conflict or something with XP as I had alot of errors with my previous install of XP or could have been a software conflict and it kept killing my ICQ for some reason.

I'm running a dual boot w/ win98se and win2k....it happens in win2k. w/ win98se...not sure..i dont use it enough to know..yet.

If that doesn't work you could always try using one the many multi chat programs like Trillian. Check out downloads.com for other similar programs.

good. i use MSN messenger in Win2k also and like i said it doesn't usually give me problems unless the computer decides it wan't to start something, and then i have to ask the computer to put up its dukes :p

Which version of Direct X do you have?
I think I started having problems when I downloaded version Direct 8.1x. I'm planning on reformatting this D drive of mine but I wanna make sure what most ppl have. I dont think most ppl have version 8.1

i think i had 8.0 before i reformatted. now i'm temporarily in linux, but taht's what i had.

Hmmm...just now, I had this window that popped up that prompt me to upgrade on msn messenger. It's a good thing that i didnt format it yet. I hope that fixed it.

also, I shouldve left it at 8.ox.
