Hey all, I've been having some problems with my build and was wondering if you all could help. The problem is that when I play CS:S my computer will occasionally freeze up and just gave me a BSOD. Luckily I turned off auto-restart and pulled this offa it: it is telling me something about the directory "ati2cqag.dll". The rig is the one in my sig. I think it might be my RAM but because it was a GPU dir I thought I should post here just in case.
Thanks for any help

Is your computer overclocked at all? That file name screams video driver issue but it could be other things such as an unstable OC.

Yeah it is, the reason that I think it may be my RAM is because I have mixed some OCZ gold ddr2 800 with some OCZ sli edition ddr2 1066 respective voltages at stock being 1.8v and 2.1v. Right now my DRAM freq is at 840 which is a moderate OC for the first set and an underclock for the second set. Should I test it with memtest or prime 95 blend torture test?

Test with prime 95 blend. Posting your OC settings could help track down the issue as well. You can always just return the ram to stock speeds and see if they game crashes on you.

I was going to suggest a RAM issue as well. I would try one of the kits at a time and see if its stable that way. If so then you know what you will have to do. Since you have mixed RAM and 1 set needs 2.1V and the other only needs 1.8V then you are going to have to run 2.1V and the sticks that only need 1.8 might not like that. You can try voltages anywhere between 1.8-2.1 to see if you can find a Place that both sets of sticks will like.

Alright thanks for the advice, I think I should move this on over to the memory subforum. I hope the screams of my tortured RAM don't keep me up tonight lol.
