Greatest thing i've seen so far. A blu-ray player with support for:

# File formats: MKV, MPEG-TS, MPEG-PS, M2TS, VOB, AVI, MOV, MP4, QT, ASF, WMV, DVD-ISO, VIDEO_TS.
# Video codecs: MPEG2, MPEG4, DivX, XVID, WMV9, VC1, H.264.
# Audio codecs: AC3 (DD), EAC3 (DD+), DTS, MPEG 1/2/3, AAC, LPCM, WMA, WMAPro, Dolby True HD, DTS HD HRA, DTS HD MA (HD-formats for Blu-Ray playback only).
# Subtitle formats: Plain text, SSA/AAS, SRT, VOB.

I really like this system.. anyone seen anything like it yet? I'm from Europe btw.

So what's wrong with using a media server + this? Software? Nothing?

Price? nevermind see below:

http://www.jvbdigital.nl/jvb.asp?cur=2&level=sdi&page=title&title=711

Looks like $999.00 I guess that would be one reason.

Actually I'm not sure on the price.. they also list http://www.jvb.nl/jvb.asp?level=sdi&page=title&title=705

which apparently is the same as above but with a 1tb Samsung drive for $968.00... cheaper?? Who knows I guess safe bet is $900-1000.

Yeah then i have to buy a blurayplayer for my pc, (those are cheap now anyway :)) but i like a standalone bluray player more. Nice system, the Dune setup, might buy it in the future.

also another option; PS3? can it play bluray backups and formats like: MKV, MPEG-TS, MPEG-PS, M2TS, VOB, AVI, MOV, MP4, QT, ASF, WMV, DVD-ISO, VIDEO_TS?
