I know it won't see all the RAM, but until I get around to sorting out a 64bit upgrade would there be any problems?

Never had any problems or had to change anything.
(when using all 4GB in 64bit because of OC`ing I had to up voltages to get it stable)
throw in a 4gig usb readyboost later and your in ram heven.
always 1.250 gig min free for action.

with 32 bit op systems, you cannot use all 4GB RAM due to memory adresses in 32 bt....... you are only using 3.2GB moreless.

Change to 64 bit.

You will notice the difference overall, although there are a lot of games / soft that still run in 32....................
