Wellz sorry to tell ya this... but after a format all the data is basically erased, or at least marked as free.. :(

well i would say your pretty much screwed but i think i saw something on www.betanews.com for some shareware beta software to recover lost data but im not sure how it works or anythingl like that

dont touch the hdd as in dont install anything on there becuase it will write over all the deleted info that was marked as free ( im not sure if its marked as free or converted to all 0's or 1's if its the latter then your screwed)

but give it a whirl what do you got to lose

Here's a program I've used before. It's time consuming but works quite well. Unfortunately it isn't free. They have a demo but you can only see what it can recover if you purchase it.

Whatever you use though, be sure nothing is written to the disk before you are satisfied you've recovered all you need.

Anybody know if UNFORMAT (kinda like UNDELETE) works for modern computers? If so, you should be able to use that (you'll need a boot disk too cuz it's a DOS util)... Unless it works for just floppies. I haven't used that in so long, I'm not totaly sure...
