View Full Version : Some forum help please.
I just went to the CPU Data base thingy you guys have and i gotta say it's very cool, but I dont know what the FPO/Batch # is. I wann post my First overclock results but cant till i know what this is. :D thanks and sorry for posting here but this Intel part of the forum is the best, :D
Dont know what this is either, sorry

Crap this cpu stuff in confuseing. All I know is that I have a celly 900mhz. I think it's a P3 and I think that it's a coppermine. I have no way of knowing what the hell I have because i never seen the box it came with, The comp store keept all that stuff. All i have is an install guide and it dosent say nothing at all about what I have.
There's a bunch of that information printed on the CPU, but I dunno if the batch is... think you'd have to download the utility from Intel's site that can read the cpu's identifier and tell you more about it...

Just to let you know that Celly and P3 are different CPU.

See thats my point. I don't know about this stuff. I bought it, overclocked it, but don't know what I have. I think thats bad not knowing what I have :(

Looks like you need to take your machine apart and put it back together and learn a bit about whats inside
The info is located all on your chip take everything off(Make sure the PSU cord is not in) and then, take the heatsink off write down the numbers on the chip(everything) and we'll help you identify the thing.
First thing OMG Yodums, your only 15 yrs old and you know this much about comps. Congrats, i will never know this much about them and im 28. rofl. ok now back to business. :D I'll take it apart later and look but do i need to put more of the white heat transfer stuff on it once it's apart. I hope not because my comp store won't sell it. :(
yes you should put new thermal paste on every time you remove your heatsink. You can get a tube of heat sink compound at radio shack for about $2
I guess you can say I know alot for a 14 year old. Thanks for the compliment. As mentioned you should reapply the thing layer of thermal compound to the heatsink and the core and make sure you take isopropyl and clean the core and heatsink from the thermal compound and then let it evaporate for about 1min and then folllow then reapply.
You should buy Arctic Silver II for like 6 dollars, it is on like every online store. Really good heat transfer stuff, a local store that sells beyond AMD/Intel stock cooling should have this stuff or go to radio shack and pick up their silicone if you don't want to wait.

Aren't there some programs (like Sisoft?) will show you the details of your system, included the info of CPU?
Ok, so this is all I can do as far as trying to look at my comp. We don't have aradio shack here and the only comp store in my town won't sell the white paste stuff I need and I don't have a credit card to buy online :( So if im reading this right I have a P6C(coppermine128) celeron 533-766 1.3 - 1.6v Does this mean my celly is a copermine? I dunno, I hope you guys can look at this and get som info from it because taking my comp apart is not an option right now.

How cold is in Canada.
What kind of cooling do You use.
Ok, looks like the Sandra program is giving us some conflicting info, but that often happens with those newer CPUs. It appears that you have a cD0 stepping coppermine Celeron 900 with a default voltage of 1.75v which is overclocked to 1.01 gig (112 MHz FSB). To find out more info, you'll need to download a CPU identification program to run. The below listed link is the Intel CPU ID download page.
http://developer.intel.com/support/processors/tools/frequencyid/
Ok, I think this what you guys needed. :D
Well, that program sure didn't give us much info, not like I had hoped it would. What is on the other frequency tab of that program? Hey fellow overclockers, anyone else know of any better CPU ID programs?
Goodie, for you to enter your overclocking info into the database, you don't have to know all that CPU info, it's just more helpful if you can enter as much of the info as possible. Usually, most of that requested stuff is found printed right on the top of the CPU chip itself.
Ya i know if i took it apart i could get tonnes of info, but i can do that. If i take it apart my comp will be a paper weight because the comp store here (and we got only one) wont sell the thermal paste stuff. We dont have a radio shack and I dont have a credit card to buy online.
Ok, let's try another program called wcpuid that can be downloaded at the below listed link. Go to the download page and get the version 3 program. We'll eventually find you a program that will get more info.

Ok, I dont know how to use this program so I hope I did it right. :D Besides this pic I also found a Product String 694T-686A, dunno if that helps at all batboy but thanks for all your help. :D
Opps forgot to post pic, lol
Ok, that's the program I meant to tell you about in the first place. Lots of good info, but not exactly everything you were hoping for. But, that's probably as good as you can get without removing the heatsink and reading what's printed on the CPU. Just post what info you can in the database, that'll be good enough.
What motherboard do you have again?
Other than maybe cooling or another good motherboard you might be in a dead end.
Make sure you narrow these things:
Your motherboard has more than a 112fsb adjustment
If there is you'll probably have to increase voltage to post or something. Cooling is a problem if your still on the stock hsf and pad.
