Fancy a UPS for many reasons (well three)
dont know anything about them at all.
system peaks at about 300watt draw when busy
what kind of ups should I be looking at?
dont know how VA relates to what im using (only know that value for my power amps and there not being pluged into it:bang head)
what is VA?
are these my feet?
help! (with the PSU I think I`ve figured the feet out)
its heart stopping UK power not burn your ass up US power.... (think they both hurt?)
gfx cards and cpu use 12v and they can suck a lot of juice if they are high end components. Your gfx card looks to be pretty potent and power hungry. Some PSU's divide the 12v circuit into too many rails so that no one of them has enough juice to run some of the newer gfx cards and cpus. Better to stick with a psu that has no more than two 12v+ rails. If you're only drawing 300w total then I would think a 600w psu might be plenty as long as the 12v+ rails have at least 22 amps apiece. Or if the psu has only one 12+ rail get one with at least 50 amps. Watts=volts x amps. Actually, I just ran across this. Check the system requirements section of the specifications.

Yeah, I'd go with at least a 600W psu.

well its informative stuff (that ive personally been through before) :)
But the question was about a `UPS` not a `PSU`
UPS = battery back up unit that smooths the power supply to the PSU (and provides enough power to shut down safely)
mostly want it to smooth the power out theres only one cicuit in the house and everything spikes it all day long... does my head in.
so anyone UPS?

I just ordered one of these, for spike/voltage fluctuation issues....

Sorry! I wish I could blame it on dyslexia but it would be a lie. Hope you find what you need.

#Cheuckles# no worries trents
First time I saw UPS in print I thought it was a typo of PSU - think its just scan reading that causes these things (were all trying to keep up with the overclock)
