couple of questions

Hey guys,

Trying to get a bit more active, only had a Q6600 crunching for the last couple of months. Now adding a i7 with 2x GTX285s into the search ( and hopefully another i7 in a couple of weeks)

My question is, do I need to do anything special to enable crunching on the video cards? BOINC says CUDA devices found...so does it automatically make use of the cards?

Lastly, I know I need to disable SLI for both GPUs to crunch, do I need a dummy plug, or any "tricks" to have both GPUs utilized?
I haven't been able to grab any WU's yet, servers seem to be down, so no testing done yet.

When I was using a 9600 boinc automatically utilized it. Had to tell boinc I had one more core than I did though, otherwise it disabled one of my cpu cores.

cool, sounds good. I finally managed to grab some WUs yesterday and it looks be to working correctly so far

So after playing with this new setup for a while...

I can't get the AK_v8 optimizer to work with CUDA. Is the v10 the way to go?

akv8 will not do cuda.

You need the raistmer package to do cuda plus akv8.

thanks, got it humming along nicely now :D

Unfortunately I just ran out of "standard" WUs for my CPU and it looks like it might be a couple of days before we get more :bang head

Hopefully my cuda WU's will last in the meantime.
