Assassins creed would have been so fun if it wasnt full of massive bugs and the most repetative game play style I've ever seen (other than say, diablo 2.)

You do the same exact missions, in every single city. So the scenery changes and that's it. The game gets boring after a couple hours.

They added some different missions in the PC version which should help make it less repetitive, I haven't played it on console so I don't know which type of missions weren't in the console version. I'd say it's definitely worth $10 if you haven't played it before. If you already have it on xbox, well, that's up to you. The PC version does have more content, I'm not sure exactly how much though.

Pass. I was thinking on the Assassin's Creed deal yesterday but 'repetitive gameplay' kept coming up in my searches. Here's hoping there will be some other worthwhile <$10 Ubisoft games.

I snagged Assassin's Creed for $10... I really couldn't pass that up. Even if it's repetitive, I'll enjoy exploring the city enough to justify $10.

Today's game is BIA: Hell's Highway for $15

I've played both the original Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood. It's a good series. I think it is worth $15 to get the latest installment, but keep in mind that this is not a very multi-player friendly game.

I still suggest you buy it from newegg. You can easily add the game to your Steam account by using the cd-key, thus you save $5 and still don't have to worry about discs.

I think that only works for Valve games and Steamworks supported games, BIA is not a Steamworks supported game as far as I know. You can add the shortcut to your Steam games list, but you can't actually add the game to your account.

Today's game is Far Cry 2 for $14.99. I know a lot of people thought it was repetitive, but I enjoyed it. I definitely think it's worth $15 if you don't already have it.

Iam about to finish FC2 myself and the game was a-ok ; specialy once you get past the 25-30% mark where the game improves . For $15 its worth a grab (let alone no DRM with Steam) .

I second the Far Cry opinion. Definitely worth $15 if you don't have it.

The funny thing is, it was marked down to $15 for about an hour while BIA: Hells Highway was still the official "50% off" game. And BIA: Hells Highway is still showing as 50% off. Someone could conceivably purchase both for $30 in a single transaction.

If Valve does the same thing tomorrow then we'll be able to predict the final game of the sale.

Can anybody comment on the DLC (downloadable content)? What is it? Why are they charging extra?

Also, the SD forum is saying you still get securom even if you purchase this through STEAM. Anybody know for sure?

I found FC2 to be one of the best shooters of 2008 for me. I had LOADS of fun. Happy to pick it up on steam for 15$ as a gift for my brother :D
