I was reading the article on the from page, here (http://www.overclockers.com/articles305/), and was suprised to read that CuSil's thermal properties seem to have been overestimated. Interesting, I think. Silversinksam, watcha think?

Flounder,

Its a good thing I am not CusilSinkSam, as that would be just downright embarrasing.

I have always had this skeptisism regarding Cusil as I couldnt understand how a blend of Copper and Silver could outperform Fine .995 silver. Interesting development indeed.

It sounds like we should be making thicker coldplates. Copper seems to be the best deal since its hardly any different than cusil or pure silver. Once i get the hang of making water blocks I will be making 1/2" copper coldplates since thats all I can easily get ahold of.

the Cusil value in the article was not an estimate
it was the value on the WESGO site, and confirmed by one of their engineers

then webmedic asked again, and the head of R&D retested - and changed it

the silver bullet turned to lead

yea, more than one mfgr in more than one country is affected

be cool

overclock-watercool has a block they are calling ice floe made out of some kind of aluminum alloy that is 600 w/mk coming out in a month or so. does anybody know what alloy this is?
