I'm anxious to start really overclocking again. How long did it take for Asus to send out a replacement for you
I have a problem with an A7V133 board. I e-mailed them about it a week ago, asking for an RMA. No reply.
I'm not optimistic about them.

Lets put it this way. As far as I'm concerned they don't exist. I sent countless emails, written letters, and numerous phone calls, even had a couple distributers make the calls for me, and no one got an actual response from them. And this was for a mobo that they issued a recall notice for. Although I do know that one of the forum monitors managed to get his replaced, but only after really breathing down their necks about it.
Actually I've e-mailed Asus a couple of times with technical questions and lately, was getting replies. But as soon as something goes wrong with a board, they treat you like you got the plague. I still use their boards and think they are the best, though.
I recently had a problem with an Iwill board. I bought it in Japan so IwillUSA told me to contact their Japan office. I did by e-mail. No reply, even though there are supposed to be 10 Americans there who transferred.
All the responses I got from IwillUSA was in capital letters, one sentence, no name at the bottom. No periods even. It was from Mr. Anonymous
Then they tell me contact IwillTaiwan. Well they have no English e-mail link on their web site. So they tell me they can replace my board but I have to pay freight both ways. I tell them that's ridiculous. I told them I am at FPO AP and they can reach me by U.S. Mail and postage would be maybe $8 for the board.
Last they told me was where I live
I gave them my address. I dunno, maybe they are sending me a board (yeah right).

Well, things are looking pretty good for me. Three weeks is pretty good considering the shipping conditions. The representative was also quick to respond to my emails

Two weeks mark reached...
This is funny: Forum date for this post (original) is 02032002, but its defenetly wrong, should be something like 15th feb, not sure if I was even registered to forum?

You got a response? Wow. You got a quick response????????? Double wow! I emailed them several times about my board, the AC97 is messed up. I got no response at all. No big loss so I just said "screw it" and added my own sound card (which I was going to do eventually anyway).

And We have a full month! Ok, there is some light in horizon: New board should be on the road... WeŽll see.

Oh come on, it's not that likely! :p
Update: Actually, I've been getting good responses from Asus lately (go ahead, boo me).
Three out of the last four e-mails I sent them were responded to. I had to RMA an A7V133 board and you have to call them over the phone. They gave me an RMA # no problem, didn't hardly ask what the problem was or when I bought it. Only problem is they don't ship U.S. Mail to my FPO AP address, so I have to have the board forwarded to me from the states.
As for Iwill, someone in Japan contacted me (but not one of those 10 Americans). I sent them a KK266-R board over a month ago and still haven't heard from them.
Meanwhile that 1600XP guaranteed to do 1650 I bought will achieve Duron 700 status by the time I get those boards back.

Jep, received a prand new board today. And IŽm happy I generally have board, but I swear I newer buy a ASUS board again! You ask me why?
My board was:
P4B266/PA/WOL-UAY
What I receiwed today is:
P4B266 SE/PA/WOL/WOUSB2.0-UAY
Whats wrong You ask? Yes, I got SE (Second Edition?) model, but My first one was with USB 2.0! Note: WO =WithOut.
No NEC USB 2.0, no Winbond Speech Processor, this a stripped down version!
I feel I have a right to judge this manufacturer and expecially those resales channels they use.
I think I should give up with this manufacturer. If I complain, IŽm without mopo a month again, because shurely they say Me "Send it to us, We replace it".
So if You are doing fine with Your ASUS board, make sure You dont break it or You might be in trouble with no end.
My last ASUS.
Ariman, you should have insisted on the same board back. That's what I did with my A7V133. It's a rare Ver. 1.05 (XP compatible), with RAID and audio. When I RMAed my board to Asus, I sent a note telling them I won't accept an A7V133-C (no RAID) board, unless they throw in a Promise ATA100 RAID card no charge. We'll see how it goes.
But on a side note, I've been playing around with my third rig, an overclocked Coppermine system, and I've installed 3 different boards in the last 3 weeks: P3C-E, P3V4X, and P3B-F, all Asus boards. Not a hitch with installation and running them. No blue screens, no incompatibilities with hardware, and I'm running FSB from 124-150.
And mind you I'm running a Tekram U160 SCSI controller card and Cheetah 10K boot drive, in conjunction with two IDE drives. Takes me 20' to change boards. And two of those boards are used motherboards!
Well I did post a "wery satisfied customer feedback" and gues what? Yes! "Send Your board pack again and We replace it."
I refused untill I have a replacement board at home!
Next they suggested equal board from MSI; they were out of ASUS boards at moment!
I said "What the hec, send it."
But My suprice was big when I received exactly correct version ASUS board!?! Hih! And I send My temporary board back.
Just good example when other division has no clue what other is doing! Oh Boy...
