Congratulations...you've just been erased!!

I have a Toshiba laptop running W2K. I don't know how it happened but some way or another the profile for the Administrator was erased. Now it's still listed in the user list but because it has no profile I can't log in under administrator. Outside of just reformatting the hard drive and starting from scratch, does anyone have a neat little trick I could use to restore that profile?:eh?:

Although the article was helpful it didn't help with the problem. Everything needed for that solution required administrative access and since the administrator account is the one I don't have that kinda puts me in a bind. I even tried the repair function on the W2K CD to no avail. Reformatting might be my only recourse. :(

do you have any other accounts on your laptop? Something like say, Backup Operators?
