Is 80c too high for this? I have no idea what this is but it seems to be mobo related

Im running a Dell Studio XPS I7 920 which is a Dell specific mobo (afaik), has 6gig of tripple channel ddr3 ram, two raptors (raid 0) and two Hitachi 1tb disks (raid 0).

If this is too high, any idea how i can lower it without changing chassis?

Many thanks!!!

Looks about right (considering the Dell cooling). Instead download and run RealTemp, and use Prime95 Small FTT mode to put your CPU under stress. Take a look at the temps when its been under load for several minutes and report back.

Sorry mate, not sure what you mean, which part looks about right?

I've run the tests you say and nothing really much happening.

I'll now run the game in question and see if that pushes things up. Also, I did try and run Everest as thats aparently very good at labeling fans/temps - except it BSOD's my PC ...doh!

After running the game for some 20mins its no higher than the results above. I suspect this is because the room temperature is actually quite cold. Is there an easy way to be sure that TMPIN0 is actually the northbridge, if so, is there an easy way to cool it further on this OEM mobo?
