I bought a geforce3 ti 200 64mb (pny verto) today at mwave.com. And I am wondering, is geforce3 ti 200 any better than geforce2 ti 500? Because I bought the geforce3 for only about 10 bucks more than what the geforce2 ti 500 costs, i mean, i know the geforce3 ti "500" is is better because of the increased clock speed, but is there really any difference from the gf2 ti 500 and the gf3 ti 200? If youre confused, its ok, becaues I think i confused myself, trying to ask this question

not confused at all, last time i checked a regular Geforce3 is almost twice as fast as a geforce2 Ultra in newer games and the Ti500 (G2) is slower than the Ultra so i would say Yes:D

I saw a hardware test at Toms Hardware and the GF3 TI 200 was just under the GF3 TI500 in almost all of the real time specs. It is an awsome card. You made the right choice.

At 16-bit color the slightly lower clocked Geforce 3 Ti 200 will actually get beat by the Geforce 2 Ti 500, both overclocked to the max. However at 32-bit color the overclocked Geforce 2 Ti 500 can barely keep up with a stock speed Geforce 3 Ti 200. Overclock the Geforce 3 Ti 200 to it's potential and the Geforce 2 Ti 500 is no match.
