I wanted to put a peltier on my tbird but thats gonna cost too much considering i will probably only use it for another 6months or so... so i was thinking about playing with my other computer which never gets used.. how powerful of a peltier would i have to use on a K6-2 stock 500mhz w/2.4v oc @533mhz w/2.7v.. i think it would be pretty funny to have a pelt on that sucker and overclock it more.. but only if its doable on air that is.. do you think its possible to buy a 62watt peltier (or whatever) and use a gladiator 2 or sk6 to cool it?? i can duct air from outside during winter for now to cool it.. but im itching to overclock and mod stuff more.. and ive done all i can with my tbird until i have to dump alot $$ to get more which isn't worth it now..

I'd say try to use a 72W peltier minimum. But a SK6 should be enough to cool a low power pelt. Don't count on getting much in the way of results though. 2.7V for just 33 extra MHz is a lot. Your chip ain't the best overclocker.

80W is the smallest they sell.

Well I just spent about 3 hours on my backup box (An AMD K6-2 500), copying files over from a dieing drive.
I had just copied SiSoft Sandra on over, and I got curious, so I fired it up, laughed a bit at the mobo specs and looked at the temps it was registering, 45-46 degrees IDLE! Reaching into 51-52 for full load. Mind you, this K6-2 already has the on-chip heat spreader, and the heatsink on it now is not stock, it's a huge ass JMC socket A HSF. The pressure the clip exerts onto the CPU would put an orb and Zen radiator to shame, but the old AMD holds up to the pressure.
I would say start at 80W single pelt.
