Any suggestions? I got some best buy dynex fans right now, they are loud.. they put out great cfm *i forget *.. I tried undervolting them to 5v via the molex connector trick and the system gets too hot.. Hope for something fairly quieter yet decent cfm on the more affordible/inexpensive side. Let me know thanks. I think i read something Yate Loon was good?
Yate Loons are great value, and good performance/noise ratio. I prefer the Scythe S-Flex (F series are a good blend of performance and noise). Lots of folks also like the Zalmans.

cool ill just have to look at specs, this is what i have now for over a year and now im tired of it lol
4.7" (120mm) cooling fan
73.7 cfm airflow volume
38.5 dBA average acoustic noise level
2200 rpm average fan speed
Up to 65,000 hours life expectancy at 25°C
4-pin power connector to motherboard
I think i might aim for yate loon d12sl-12, i think the rated 47cfm might be decent enough for me.
For the money you save over pretty much all the other 120mm fans, you can get a Sunbeam 4 channel controller, depending on how many you need. 4x YL mediums and the Sunbeam are only $36 before shipping. 4x Scythe S flex's are $56 alone, before shipping.

geez i already ordered 2 YL lows, hope to see how those work out for me.. just ordered some car parts so im kinda on a budget..
I have been using D12SL-12 yates now for several years, and they simply are not to be beaten when it comes to price/performance/silence. I have a couple Scythe S-Flex fans also, and they are as quiet as the yates. The yates use sleeve bearings, so they really aren't the best choice when mounting fans vertically, whereas the S-Flex fans use fluid bearings and hence will work indefinitely vertically or horizontally. It is hard for me to justify $15 fans for a vertical mount when I can buy Yates for about $3 a piece from Jab-tech. I just ordered 8 for a new build I am gathering up materials for. They are cheap enough that i just order new fans whenever I embark on a new build.
