I got this card awhile ago and it's a vanilla 8800GT dualslot with the akimbo cooler and have recently flashed it with a SuperClock bios that I edited with nbitor to bring the clocks up to 725/1000/1800 GPU/MEM/SHADER which is the max I can go while being game stable but I'm only averaging 4600 ppd while I've been reading many others are getting over 5000+ easy with far less of an overclock so I'm wondering if it's an issue with drivers, I'm currently using the latest nvidia drivers, should I be using the cuda drivers that are listed on the main forum stickys?

that sounds about right to me for that card.

ok, just for the heck I'm going to try the cuda drivers and boost the shader to 1950, I can run the occt error checking too for an hour without getting errors or extreme temp increases so I would assume that should be stable enough.

Those scores are most likely outdated. I used to get ~5k on 353 point WUs on a PNY 8800GT. It really depends on the WU. Right now it's doing 3072 PPD on a 511 point WU. Now, on average I am getting about 4500PPD on a 353 point WU (these are usually the fastest). They recently fixed an issue with the GPU core that added some overhead, so ALL WUs are slowing down. Scores more than a couple weeks old will be irrelevant.

I've got 4x 8800GT and they are averaging about 4700 PPD on the 768 pointers (57xx WUs). See sig for shader overclock.

653/1632/983 for 2450ppd on 768 pointers if im using the computer.

That sounds about right. I'm averaging about 4500 PPD on 768 pointers, with shaders at 1728.

How much when you're not using the computer? You should get a lot more than that. Also, you might want to increase your shaders some if you can.

I guess I'm about avg for the card then, I bumped the shader to 1850, working on a 768 pointer I set the ppd calculation to last 3 frames and left it sit idle for for 10 min and my ppd is 4773 watching a movie drops it the 4400's so I think it's about as good it's going to get.

My 8800GT is doing 4147PPD on project 5777 with a core oc of 670MHz. It can do about 500PPD less on other projects.

682/1803/1030, 4600ppd on 768 pointer :D

edit: ooops, that was no good, backed it down
670/1780/1000 still 4600ppd

Is your 8800GT a G92? What are your shaders at? You should be able to do a little better than that (at least 4400-4700 PPD). Just trying to help. :)
