Printer prob's

hi guys, i have a epson stylus 640, which stopped printing a little while ago. THe paper goes through and it doesnt say it needs any ink. SOmetimes small lines come up. I tried to go and clean the printer head (in windows) and nothing worked. How can i fix my printer? (Im a noob so explain in n00b language. THank you!)

Have you removed the ink tanks? With some Epson printers if you remove the ink and then replace it the ink tanks are ruined. You would have to replace them.

Sometimes print heads get gummed up and need to be cleaned several times before they will work. Run about 5-6 cleanings before you move on.

If all else fails, take the cartridge out and very carefully clean the nozzle with an alcohol wipe.

I'm not sure about epson printers, but that would happen to my HP printer if not used often enough. Some alcohol and Q-Tips would clear it right up, though.
