I have some questions hoping to get some answers. I have some procedures on how to seal some areas behind and in front of the motherboard socket areas and putting some grease in the pins and stuff. I have seen some condensation on my waterblock itself sometimes, but I have yet to seal the surrounding areas of the socket. My question is will sealing the CPU area stop condensation on the waterblock itself? If not, what can I do to help prevent it from happening. Thanks.

You will need to insulate the w/b and socket. The thickness of the insulation will depend on how low the temps are. If you are working in the region of 0C-10C then insulating with a 4mm thick layer of closed foam should work. I used a mouse mat which I glued to the w/b (2 layers)and then got some pipe lagging from the hardware store and made wedges that I used to close the gaps between the w/b and the proc. Use the mouse mat material to make a a pad under the proc as well. I used a twin pack epoxy to cover all the tails of the ZIF socket on the back and the to seal the inside of the socket under the proc and di-electric grease on the ZIF socket and I covered the top surface except the core as well. Have a look at the articles for pelts they give avery good guide on this.

Look in the Pelt section off the main page.

Take a look here. www.swiftnets.com/socketsealing.htm as far as cleaning the grease yea it`s easy to clean if it`s on you, but other then that it`s a real pain.
