Friday, on a whim I went to Microcenter and bought a new video card and now I am wondering if I made a good decision??
I only had $100 to spend.....and the card cost me $89.99
I got the HIS HD 4670 IceQ Turbo 512MB (128bit) GDDR3 PCIe (http://www.hisdigital.com/us/product2-65.shtml)
With out a doubt it kicks the pants of of my old ASUS 3650. But could I have gotten something better for the money??? - I am not afraid of taking the card back and spending a tad more money... Any one have any thoughts on the subject??
(I posted here in the general GPU section since I am not apposed to getting a Nvida card. I picked the ATI because that Is what I have been used to using for the past 2 years...)

That's not a horrible price for an HD 4670. You probably could have gotten an HD 4830, the next step up, for around that price if you would have ordered online.
Here's a review with your card vs. an HD 4830.

It's not a big difference, but it would probably be noticeable.
And here's an HD 4830 at newegg for $89.99.

The HD 4670 certainly isn't a bad card at that price, so I wouldn't call it a bad choice. If you would have paid $120 at Best Buy I would call that a bad choice :)
You certainly did not make the wrong choice if you got an improvement on what you had. Furthermore, $100 don't get you much, but like I said, and improvement is better than none. But you made a better choice than me, as your card blows my $99.99 + shopping 9500GT out of the water [regret], so enjoy! until you get 3 GTX 295's in SLI (jks all over the place.)

what's most important is what you'll be using the video card for. If you rarely game, a 4670 is a great all-around multimedia graphics card. If you are a gamer on a budget, spending a tad bit more for a 4830 would be a better choice.

As long as it's faster than your old card, and you're happy with the results, then there's no way you could've went wrong.
...it's not like they're selling 260 GTX 216 cards for $135 at Microcenter... http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=602252

Wow. That makes me really sad that I haven't made 100 posts since 2005...
As mentioned, you could've gotten a 4830 for the price, but the IceQ cooler is a definite plus, along with the slight stock OC, so it wasn't a bad choice at all.
