View Full Version : Some specs of NV25(GF4)
WOW pretty impressive specs(some of them):
NV25 General Specifications:
63 Million Transistors
0.15 micron.
4 rendering pipelines, 2 TMUs each.
300 MHz core frequency.
NVidia declares 4.9 Gpixels/s fillrate for the upcoming GPU. We already know that nowadays developers declare so-called effective fillrate for their processors, so, take these enormous numbers as "peak numbers" that do not have a lot to do with the real games in real life.
Memory subsystem details and specifications:
Frequency: 650 MHz DDR SDRAM.
Four BGA memory chips on the front side of the board. However, NVidia solution also has memory heatsinks.
Peak memory bandwidth: 10.4 GB/s.
128MB Frame Buffer.
The speed of the GeForce4 Ti4600 based videocards is going to be extremely high compared to GeForce3 and RADEON 8500.
Well what do u think?
I think i'm waiting for the GeForce4 "Eclipse"
I heard it has 400MHz core/128mb QDR rated 1ghz.
Don't know if there's any truth to this... but if so.. man oh man...
OMG
hahaha that seems awesome man...
I think that GF4 is the "real" upgrade for me and my GTS2...better thatn GF3 which i intended to buy but now ill just wait..
GF4 has double specs than my GF2..LOL
:D :D :D
Here are some unoffical specs.
Sorry for repeating most of what is posted but adds many things.
With February 5 just around the corner, some architectural details about NVIDIA's new NV25 GPU has emerged. NVIDIA's new flagship chip will have 63 million transistors on a 0.15µ manufacturing process. Expected to run much hotter than the NV20, the NV25 will come in a PBGA package with an integrated heat spreader.
The top-end NV25 reference design uses 128MB of 650mhz DDR SDRAM in a BGA-package for a 10.4GB/sec memory bandwidth. NVIDIA's new chip will feature NVIDIA's new "Lightspeed Memory Architecture II," which includes 4:1 no-loss Z-buffer compression, 2nd-generation occlusion culling, and "Quadcache Architecture."
The NV25 chip will feature 2 TMUs on each of its 4 rendering pipelines, resulting in 4.9 billion AA samples per second. The NV25's main improvement over the NV20 comes in the form of a new T&L engine named "nFinite FX II," which features 2 vertex shaders and triples the T&L operation speed of the GeForce3.
NVIDIA will include a new hardware anti-aliasing method using subpixel locations mask in the NV25, under the marketing name "Accuview AA." In addition, the NV25 will feature a mystery implementation of z-correct bump mapping, the details of which are still unclear. Of course, none of these details is official until February 5

Thats nice, what would make it even better is if it hit the market and cost about $100 or so. Man, I could only dream.

alot.....quite alot, i have heard close to $600 or $700 for the ti1000, but thats a guess, just wait till the NV30 comes out, then these things will be $200...ohh yes, its a shame i didnt wait a few more weeks to get this ti200, or else i would pay like $50 less
