No contract internet plans from cell providers?

My thought is there isn't one, but someone might have looked somewhere besides all the providers pages & found a little secret. Anyway I have a Alltell data card, but was told the trial is only 15 days.

some times if you call your cell phone provider and you buy the card for regular price.. they dont make u make a contract since u already have a line

in england we have "pay as you go" sim cards. when i go abroad i can use these to access 3g networks.

you put £10 or £15 on and that is your call time. internet is charged by the megabyte downloaded. eg per 1MB = £1 so very expensive.
but no contract.
the sim cards are free.
