View Full Version : Video card test/stress test program?
I've got a lappy that has a bad keyboard....or does it? it plugs into the video card, I have swapped the keyboard a couple times with known good replacements. The keyboard still misses key strokes. Annoyingly frequently. What I'd like to do is find a free DLable program I can use to test my video card/stress the fark out of it.
Ideas?

The Futuremark benchmarks work the graphics pretty hard, but it's not sustained for a long period of time.
3dmark06 and 3dmark vantage are the popular ones right now. You can get them here:

If you want to work the GPU for a long period of time, you might want to get the GPU client for Folding at Home. For that, see this thread:

Furmark is the one i would go for. 3dmarks a good but i got bad net and take to long to DL LOL :)

I would take the most recent update of furmark, set it to stability test, and watch as your gpu heats up the sink so much your cpu fries.

Is that normal for laptops for the keyboard to plug into the video card ???? I know I'm a laptop hardware newbie but if you said this about a desktop video card, I would say you had it wrong. Please enlighten me on this...
