Hey i have a fan problem. I have 2x 80mm fans blowing in from the 2 slots free below the cdrw drive, 1x intake from below the hard drive, 1x cpu fan blowing in on the cpu, 2x 80mm blowing out the back of the case, 1x 40mm blowing on the video hs, and 1x 20mm on mobo. Total of 8 fans. I have 31C case temp load and 48C CPU load with stock hsf and no good compound. I think my temps are pretty good considering my fan situation with the CPU. What do all u think??? What are ur setups? And does anybody know where to get a really cheap full tower case that i can add fans to freely and get my psu away from CPU? Thanks a LOT!!!

P.S. I don't have any really good quality fans. They are all pretty low cfm's and are all generic.

Getting some good quality 80mm case fans would definitely help things out quite a bit but it'd get a tad noisier, especially with ball bearings. I'd say do that and enjoy the results. What's the ambient temp?

you might benefit from moving the one fan intake from below the hard drive to the top of your case...heat rises. Also keep in mind, just because you put those fans there doesn't mean you are getting proper airflow. You can have a low case temp, but without proper airflow, your cpu temp is high. You want to find a way to direct air in from one direction and out another, and keep a steady flow of air at all times. Try moving the 2 you have in front a little lower on the case, and making that blowhole out the top. Also, which way does your HSF blow on your cpu? Down across the HS, or out away from it? Probably see different results if you play with your set-up...I don't know that much about AMD's, but I would be a tad bit uncomfortable with 48C...just some suggestions, dude...

PS...GET SOME COMPOUND ON THAT CPU HS!!!

I can confirm about Sunon's quality, infact all my Case fans setup is based on this kind of fans, and never the Case temp is over 2-3 degree C to the ambient temp.

- Intake 1x80mm (42Cfm) in front/low + 2x92mm (49Cfm) on the left panel of case.
- Exhaust 1x80mm (42Cfm) in up/back + 1x120mm (90Cfm) on the upper cover of case.

NOTE: Generally is better if the amount of air for the intake is equal, or just a little more, than the exhaust.

Yep, Sunon rocks. Their 50CFM 80x25mm fan is the most powerful 80x25mm fan you can get...and at 40dba it's also pretty quiet for the air it moves. They aren't expensive either....$10 a piece with 4-pinned tails is all you should pay.
