For anybody played World of Warcraft you'll know what I'm talking about. If you don't play, Warcraft has an option to first run the game in "Windowed Mode", where, it's just like any other game in windowed mode, or any program for that matter. But then you can also choose "Maximized", a sub setting of windowed mode. And that basically makes it look full screen, no border, no start menu at the bottom, takes up the full screen, looking exactly like it would if it was fullscreen. Only difference is, in maximized windowed mode, your mouse isn't confined to that window. Meaning I can move my mouse off to the left onto my other monitor. So I'm wondering if there is a 3rd party program that will run all games like that. Any advice would be great.

I play in windowed/maximized mode (when not using 3d which requires fullscreen) too, cause it lets you alt-tab instantly. I just disable the other monitor when playing WoW.

edit: Oh, you WANT to be able to move the mouse to the other screen? Just run the games in windowed mode, and try alt-enter if there's no maximized option.

Well, the game in question is EverQuest 2 (yes, still raiding 4x days a week in WoW, just trying this for some variety in my off time), and it can either run in windowed mode, or full screen. Alt + Enter swaps it back and fourth between windowed and fullscreen, which is why I'm looking for a program that will run it in a maximized windowed mode.

I'd love a way to force a maximized window regardless of the program. I use to spend a TON of time on a persistent neverwinter nights server, but NWN itself gives you a fixed windowed size of 800x600. Not great for playing, but good for multitasking. I'd generally just deal with the alt-tab lag time and only multitask when I wasn't in battle.
