Wow..i just read a review about Kingmax PC150 sticks. According to the website, http://www.memorysuppliers.com/ton25pc6ns16.html,
only 1 in every 7 kingmax pc150 can run Case2 stable, and for those made it, will run 166+ case3!!

That's cool mine's been running stable at 2-2-2-5, for weeks at temps. Only a mild OC though, 124 FSB, max memory settings. I'm ready to up the FSB, and increase mem. volts. But thats in another thread. Just finished some case mods.
I bought 4 sticks from memorysuppliers when they were still pretty cheap.
On the BE6IIv2.0, I have reached only 157fsb @ 3-3-3 with the pre-tested Kingmax PC166. It can run at 150 2-2-2 but it's not 100% stable. I have a stick of Mushkin Rev2 that will do 160 3-3-3. I have 2 more Rev2 that only only do 152 2-2-2, 157 3-3-3.
In my search to find ram capable of running 160 2-2-2, I have tried:
Mushkin Rev3+ - 154 2-2-2, 157 3-3-3
Corsair PC150 cas 2 - 151 2-2-2, 155 3-3-3
OCZ PC150 CL2 - 151 2-2-2, 155 3-3-3
Crucial PC133 cas 2 - 148 2-2-2, 154 3-3-3
Either I am really unlucky or my mobo is holding me back. Only 2 brands of ram left to try : Tonicom and Twinmos PC166, but they are hard to come by :(
Any recommendations?

I was told to set it to C2 when I OC with KingMax PC150 C3 on my ST6R, or it will not boot windows. So, is my PC150 C2 then?

well, i have no idea..:) i think you need to check your rem's density before you draw your conclusion.
Anyway, i think mobo has a lot to do with your ram performance..why? i got my kingmax, c2, pc150, 256mb to do 160 222 5/7 on my Soyo board, and on my other boards, it is impossible (155 222 5/7). so if you just happen to get a good ram is not enough, a good board is also required.:p

Maybe the kingmax memory is a bit picky about mobos even though they say it's compatible. I tried 2 sticks of PC150 and neither one would run at 150mhz cas2 and neither was reliable even at cas3. RMAed them both and got a stick of OCZ PC150 2-2-2 and it performs great on my board at 153mhz 2-2-2! Kingmax used to have issues with VIA chipsets which they say have been resolved, but maybe not completely
Ifishsum : Does ur OCZ memory have Infineon or Micron chips?

I noticed that Kingmax says the ram is actual PC150 ram but in articles I have read as well as what Sandra reports mine to be is PC133 chips that is CAS 3,3,2 @133 fsb and only rated @CAS 2,2,2 @100 fsb. Although, that's what the SPD chip is reporting. As far as stability issues on various mobo's, the revision number printed on the card will tell you whether or not it is the updated version that supposedly fixed these issues. I believe, though I may be mistaken, the fix is with rev. 1.1 and higher.

your right-Kingmax says the problem has been resolved with ver 1.1 and up but both my sticks were ver 1.2. both had 6ns chips on them as well. It was faster memory at regular clock speed, it just didn't do 150mhz very well and the cas3 setting at 150mhz pretty much negated the performance gain I was after in the first place.

Well I have Kingmax pc150, one stick of 512, and one of 256. They are currently running together at cas 2-2-2-5, 169.2 bus speed, turbo 1, and 3.5volts. It definitely does'nt like anything over 170, at these settings anyway.

I bought both sticks thru M-wave.com. The 256mb in sept. and the 512mb stick in nov. $65us for the 512. Last time I checked they didn't have any more but that was a couple of weeks ago, they might have some now. I've pretty much built my whole rig thru them with no problems, they even have tech support, clear CMOS is their ansewer for everything though.

Okay I lied, seems after further testing I can only get to 158.xx, at cas 2-2-2-5 sorry for the misinformation. I still think I can run them higher though.
