What's the "sys" temp on a Giagbyte EP45-DS3R?

Title says it all I guess. I'm trying to figure out what, exactly, the temp labeled "sys" from the motherboard is giving a temperature of. I don't think it's the NB or SB, but I can't seem to tie it to anything specific. Documentation for exactly what it is has not come up when I've searched. Is it just a temp probe located on the board somewhere? If so, anybody happen to know where it is?

It's not an absolutely critical issue, but it bothers me to not know what it is.
