My CD rewriter no longer pulls in the drawer when I start the computer. I changed it to the slave on my second IDE channel and exchanged it with my DVD so I can boot from CD without having to remember to hit the eject button(to set the drawer) while the bios screen is up.
I took it apart somewhat and there aren't any broken pieces floating around inside. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this problem and whether they fixed it. Its a cendyne 6x that I got for $70 after rebate back in October of 2000, so I guess I'm getting what I paid for.
