hi all, This issue no longer applies:

i have a Gigabyte GA-8Ig1000mk board don't know the version. I have 1024mb but the board is only recognizing 512. i have tried every configuration with the chips. But still the same result. I am using kingston chips sdram. I have had a computer recently that would only recognize one chip and not the other. But with these no matter which chip is in it recognizes only half of the chip not the full memory.

Any ideas as to what the issue is. This board can run single or in dual mode.

Thanks ahead of time.:screwy:

I figured out the issue the chips were really 256 but they didn't say that they both state 512mb the light bulb went off when i looked to purchase these chips and say they came in sets of 2. After further reading i discovered that each chip was only 256 but together they are 512mb.
