Hey I've been trying to get my ocz ddr2 1200 to run at 1200.I set bios to
8.5x400 fsb to nb 400 ram 1200. I ran memtest 34x all passes no failures.Now I'm starting to get bsods about crash dumps & i've noticed a few things; under vista control panel system mantaince windows shows cpu as e8400 3ghz 3.6 but CPUID says 3.4 Also cpuid & memset show memory as 666 instead of 600.Any ideas???

Seems like you are running the memory at 1333mhz. Check the bios post message to see what speed you are running at. Also, your FSB at 400 seems high for your e8400(stock is at 333). You might want to lower the FSB and increase the multiplier instead.
 
I had the same problem. Print or write down your RAM timings and voltage. Reboot and set the timing/voltage in the BIOS. Set the strap to 333 and then set the Frequency of the RAM to 1200. F10 and reboot. You should be @ 1200 now. :beer:

The 400 strap was definately messing me up.Went with 333strap & am runnin smooth with 2 profiles 9x375 ddr1200 & 8.5x390 ddr1248.
