Hey all - just want to check if this makes sense:
Running a Q6700 on the VMplayer setup (two of them) but this morning the one core (SMP Gromacs CVS) is firing on all cylinders and doing 2100ppd while the other one is now using a SMP Gromacs and has dropped to 1250ppd... PRCG's are follows: P2669(R4,C65,G112) on the fine one and P2665(R2,C787,G107) on the degraded one.

Sorry title is wrong - should read Halved compared to a CVS core :-/
You're seeing the normal production of a a2 core WU vs. an a1 core WU.

Nothing is wrong with your setup. Sometimes the SMP client is assigned an A1-core WU, and the result is that your PPD will drop by about 50%.
On one of my Q6600s @ 3.0, running in VM/Ubuntu with a 295GTX folding, p2669 (a2) makes about 2240 ppd and p2665 (a1) makes about 1560 ppd, 69% of a2 production. Cheer up, it could be worse. Your a1 WU could be a p510x and make even less,51% of a2 production.
Do you have affinity set on the VMs?

Well suppose it all evens out in the end. Putting in my 9800GX2 tonight so should make up for that :P
thats normal man, same here, CVS running 3700ppd, non CVS 2500 :( just gotta endure til the next CVS :)
Yeah, I'm crunching two a1 WUs atm and I went from ~2300ppd per VM to 1100ppd each =/
And sadly the a1 WUs take so much longer, lol.

Nearly as bad, here too, 2300PDD > down to 1100PDD.
and same for GPU clients one gets 4650PDD then the other gets 850PDD @ times with certain WU's

that one is different, same thing here (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=604477), thats a glitch or throttling, they shouldnt jump that much, I normally see 4400-6900 on GPU depending on WUs

Well at least I got a CVS this morning again - but my retarded dfi x48 board hates 9800GX2's. Was seriously looking forward to doubling my ppd with that puppy...
