Anybody else having problems getting work from server 111?
my main box is not getting work at the moment. :(
You beat me to it
Look familiar?
Loaded queue successfully.
+ Attempting to get work packet
- Connecting to assignment server
- Successful: assigned to (171.64.122.111).
+ News From Folding@Home: Welcome to 2.0
- Error: Getwork failed -1, and no other work to do
Sleeping for about 5 minutes then retrying
I think it's all of the servers at the moment. I have 4 boxen down.
it may be related to my next post however
..............
Found this relating to the problems we saw over the weekend.
Hi,
there was a problem with vsp46 over the weekend so it couldn't
receive units. It should be fine now.
Project 106 (the one that was run on 46) is coming to a close. Soon
we will start a new exciting molecule (protein A) on it.
peace,
Bojan
Maybe they are working on updating the servers with the new protein. Don't know. If it's anything like what we saw before then this makes sense.
I had the problem earlier today. It was updating the core and had problems so I deleted core65 then it finally downloaded a good one then It was having problems getting work. It finally got work about an hour ago. The server it recieved work from is 111.

Yeah, I was having that problem.. Now I'm having another on one my PCs: Its reporting "Folding@Home2 Core Shutdown: CORE_OUTDATED"
I tried a delete core and restart of F@H.. No good. I'm watching the directory and it keeps creating a file called Core_65.exe.bz and then deleting it.
My 1.4 TBird is just dying to do some work, but it can't get any..

Yea had the same prob earlier. Just shut F@H2 down delete core65 both if there are two then restart. I had the server problem again but I was able to get work after about 10 min.
I think earlier when I had the problem I had to delete it 3-4 times. This could have been because the work server was down. Good luck and keep us informed. Fold on!!!
They have to take the servers down to load a new protein??

I believe they do have to take down the servers to load new proteins. It probably involves resetting the servers to a new set of wu time limits and stuff.
I have a native villin again. I thought we were done with those :( was hoping to see the new protein. oh well. Yeah. I am pretty sure that we are getting a new protein very soon. They have always seemed to have had their servers down for the new proteins. I think that there is a lot too it such as adding databases and working the protein into whatever software they have on the server. Given the complexity of the project it seems reasonable that they would have to do this.
