My asus p5k premium fried, I need some suggestions for a replacement.

The setup is/was
q8400
Asus p5k premium
2gb ddr2 ram
8800gtx
2 dvdrw's and 3 hd's.
Corsair 550w psu
Antec 900 case

My price range is around $200.
I don't know if I intend to oc this setup.

Are the boards that support both ddr2 and ddr3 , worth a poop? I don't see that many on the market.

Can someone siggest a mb that fits my needs?

Something like this: ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i

Its $129 so its below your budget and will let you add another 8800GTX down the road if wanted and will let you overclock if you chose to.

Or something like this GIGABYTE GA-X48-DS5 LGA 775 Intel X48 if you want a better overclocker, it has great reviews and is a solid board, Now the price is $179 so its closer to you amount your wanting to spend but if you dont mind spending the extra money id get this one this will too alow you to add another 8800GTX in there later.

i would give you a link to the newegg page but im not sure the rules on posting to other retail sites! just my two cents

ARe the boards with dual ddr2 and ddr3 crap?

Also is my 8800gtx going to block anything on the board?
