Whats up guys?
Well I just received my new gtx 275 in the mail yesterday. I was really excited about using the Evga step up program for the 1st time (only paid shipping). I unboxed it and threw it into my rig last night for some quick benching.

1st things 1st - I received a SC model instead of the vanilla 275. This was somewhat surprising, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

I have run a series of vantage and 06 runs and I must say that while it's a slightly better gpu, the card as a whole is not that much better than a good clocking 216. This has been said before, I just had high hopes for the 285's gpu.

While my old 216 did run higher core clocks and also ran marginally cooler, I hope this 275 can pull some slightly better fps.

All while running my q6700 @ 3.924ghz:

260/216 @ 756/1512/1224
Vantage - 14,099 (physx enabled)
Vantage - 11916 (physx disabled)
'06 - 18,472

275 SC @ 720/1620/1300
Vantage - 15,241 (physx enabled)
Vantage - 12,358 (physx disabled)
'06 - 18,286

Now I was not expecting to have crazy high scores from the new card, but I was hoping for a little more. I hope that it will clock better in a few days after the tim bakes a bit. I was able to successfully run the shaders @ 620 a single time. Now if I try and run them that high I get a bsod. What have you guys been able to run clock wise on your new 275s?

Stock card performaing about 6% better than an overclocked predecessor? For free upgrade? Sounds good to me :)

Oh, misread the scores :(

WORSE performance in 06, that is wierd.

See if the Rivatuner voltage plugin will work, the card you have might be running at a lower voltage than the 260. Also is the memory stable? 2.6Ghz seems high :O

Dont get me wrong, im not upset at a free "upgrade". I was just hoping for a slightly better overclocker.

Im curious as to why it would complete a few runs with shaders at 1620, and then bsod from then on; what a tease. If I can get those shader clocks back, im sure the '06 runs would be much improved.

Im going to get rivatuner up and running as it never has for me yet. Always says something about the kernel not loading. Ive tried to uninstall using revo, restarting, and then installing again with no luck. But, thats a whole other issue.

EDIT: It's ATI tool that doesnt work for me, not rivatuner.

I was under the impression that rivatuner/evga voltage tuner wont work on the 55nm 260/275 cards because they use cheaper memory thingies.

Isn't it only the 65nm 260s and 295s work with software voltage regulators?

I just did a few more runs and got the shaders stable at 1620. Badbonji, you were right. It was the memory clock that was making me bsod. I turned it back down to 1270 and it ran w/o issue. Raised my '06 marks a few and now im happy with the upgrade!

Still interested in seeing other people's clocks and scores.

:P
Thought it was a bit high. Instability causes a drop in score which is why 06 was low :)
I guess I have a large GTX275 if I turn sli off? lol.

Just got a new vantage score of 12,730 w/ physx disabled. It did run a few times at 1300memory, but the heat got to it after a few runs.

I am planning on throwing this card under water, it will have its own dedicated loop.

Cool nice score. Looks like a solid card, I would like to water cool my GTX295 and see how far I could get with that but seems a waste as you cannot reuse the block :\

Thanks man. Can you get your shaders up to 1585 or 1620?
