Did a quick search around, but nothing obvious...

Does it make a difference to performance / overclocking ability by which memory slots you use?

Because I use a push-pull fan system to cool the cpu, I have my 3 sticks in the green slots.

Just wondering if I've impaired anything.

Thanks

as long as you have them in same colored (usually every other) slot, you will get the top, Trichannel performance. I would suggest the white slots, as they are farther away from the northbridge chipset and MOSFET heatsinks.

I recently got the DS4 and OCZ's Gold 3x2GB 1600 kit, the board would not boot when using the blue slots, however the white slots work fine (the white slots are DIMM1, DIMM2 and DIMM3). ;)
