I think i just killed my 1700+. I did the volt mod on the cpu from 1.75 to 1.85. The stuff kinda smudged a bit and dried there. Thought i cleaned it enough but as soon as I turned it on it shut down as soon as power hit the CPU and corrupted my cmos. The board is ok though.
I'm not completly sure if it's dead. The computer will put power into the mobo, although i get no video, i can hear some of the post starting up but i get no beep codes. Anyone know where i can get a PCI Post Card do get the post error codes on port 80h. I may have myself an expensive keychain but if anyone has a solution, god bless you.
If not, another bites the dust.
