Better image quality in D3D and OpenGL over 23.11 drivers
a bit faster FSAA performance over 23.11 drivers
new OpenGL ICD version 1.3.1 (as opposed to 1.3.0 in 23.11)

Heres a link I got both files and I uploaded them to me Brinkster account :D

Take note these are only for Windows 2K/XP only but there are alot of people having problems with these drivers and not be able to run 3dMark2001 me for one and some people at HardForums.

Problem is when I reboot Win XP auto installs the GF2.

I just got the latest detnator drivers from 3dchipset. They include support for the geforce 4 series and the quadro4 series chips which can only mean one thing.... THE CARDS ARE COMMING OUT SOON!

Got the new 27.xx drivers from guru3d.com They download much faster than from 3dchipset.com. Will try them out in the morning, and I'll also see if I can use the softquadro patch on them. Additionally, guru3d has lots of older detonators available, so looks like I'll be doing a lot of driver testing here soon.

Grabbed the 27.10 drivers for my 3D Prophet III, running WinXP Pro and XP 1800+ @ 1.7GHz... tried to launch 3DMark2001, get "3DMark display window lost focus". So I reinstalled 3DMark2001, thought it wouldn't hurt to atleast try. Well, no go on that either.. same error. I seen no FPS increase in running Q3 timedemo though, nor in Q2. :rolleyes:

Well, I guess i'll wait for those GF4 Eclipse's to roll off the lines :)

Lots of people are having that problem, thats why they are switching back to the 23.11/23.12's.

'Had the same problem as you, with the "lost focus" message from 3DM2K1, then...

it got a lot worse... they had run quite well otherwise for a few days for me, but all of a sudden, the infamous "infinite loop" error started crashing my computer, and often, resetting it.

About the 3 crash/reset in a row last night, it trashed the hard drive.

ARGH! I had to reformat, and reload EVERYTHING, since my old version of Ghost did not support NTFS.... bummer.

Anyways, I'm back to the 23.12's, since they do NOT cause errors on my system. They're running fine, as I type...

I'm not saying the new 27.10's will trash your computer - but they did lead to mine getting trashed..

All I can say about the 27 series Dets. is I actually lost 300 to 500 3Dmark points and my system is very unstable. I am giong back to the 23.12's. It might be the fact that they are beta's. I can wait.
