I have develped a strange situation on my pc.I cannot overclock at all. I recently purchased a hercules gforce 3 ti200 and since Instaling this card no overclock on cpu.Previously I had a geforce 256 and I could over clock the cpu.

Asus cusl2 mobbo celeron1GHZ 256MEG PC133 MX400 SOUND

I used to run at fsb 120 pci 40=1200mhz. this configuration was running fine for months until I installed the ti200 and then when I l boot into windows d3d hangs up.run dxdiag and d3d is dissabled
the only thing that has changed is the ti200 I dont understand It.

I am running win xp I have gone back to Win Me same thing.
one thing I do know I went back to Win98 se and the overclock worked that was until I had to Install the Inf update for 815 chipset from intel on the asus driver disk necessary for win98.
That Is the only clue I have at the moment.I have the latest bios from asus. This is very frustrating I do not know what I can do

Does that happen only when u overclock or theres no d3d even if ur runnin @ stock speed?
Have u disabled onboard video?
I have several CUSL2 family boards and one is with onboard video ..so if u have it enabled that could be the problem.
Did u mess recently with some other settings in BIOS?
Did u also try to put your old vid card in and see what happens then?
What drivers are u running?
Check those things and come back. After that we'll see further what to do.
good luck.

Thanks for your reply. I have messed around with the bios since this problem started. I have tried various drivers 21.80 and 22.x. Iam going to check the onboard video;back tomorrow.
