did intel ever make any socket 7 chips?? reason asking i broke my k6-2 in half and need a replacement for it but i remember that my old old computer had a 166mhz socket 7 chip in it.. did intel make any fast socket 7 chips??

I remember the fastest intel Socket 7 Chip is P1 233MMX, the next is gonna be P2 233 (Slot).
The Socket 7 were the old P1 MMX's..

Yep, Nuciles is right, the fastest Intel socket 7 was the Pentium-1 233. Yodums, this is nit-picking and being technical, but there were early P-1 socket 7 CPUs that were not MMX. :) Demon-chomper, you might be better off looking for another AMD K6 or K6-2.

their so bluddy expensive tho.. people on ebay are mad $65 for a 550 k6-2+ their crazy!!! i guess im gonna be watching ebay for awhile till one is finaly a resonable price...
There is this ad in the "classified" section of this forum.
Ive got a used AMD K6-2 450MHz (I've OCed it to 550) for $30. If anyone wants it, just PM me.

Because I own this 233MMX. It has no way to upgrade it.
