For what is effectively a glorified demo that is astonishing....

I'm no longer astonished by the stupidity of the common man. I've now come to rationalize that intelligence is the uncommon factor and Darwin was wrong about a great many things.

Has the price of Prologue stayed the same since it first came out?

Why pay for a frakkin' demo? Oh wait, because it's the best game available for the system... or one of 3 anyway.

OR, pay for a Demo because you are a Racing Junkie. What is $40.00 to someone that would buy a $350.00 wheel and pay for it 4 months before it will ever be shipped, if there are no problems in the process. But I didn't "pay" for my copy. I just used Trade-in credits at Gamestop.

Still the same old nugget, "above" the common man...

You're a racing junkie that wants to play a game that is just a facelift of a game released in the 90s? Seriously, it looks amazing there can be no denying that, but the gameplay dynamics are severely out of date and the physics are sorely lacking. Don't believe me? Take a car for a little jump and see what happens.

But what if you had never had a Playstation before. Then GT5-P would be your first time to see what other people were always talking about. Will it replace Forza2 or the upcoming Forza3? I doubt it.

Indeed! Gran Turismo is such a boring game these days. For such a game series to be ten years old and STILL lack such fundamental things like visible car damage. You can't even upgrade your car in the Prologue. It is a mediocre racing game at best, from a franchise that has been stale for several years. I was one of the minions that allowed myself to be sucked up into the hype surrounding this game over two years ago. It looks pretty, but it's not fun, it was a waste of $40. Please forgive me Fudge.

I agree $40 for a prologue is pretty expensive.

However, I won't just make the judgement that GT sucks now. Remember, it's a prologue, not the full version, and that's why most of us think $40 is too much to spend on that game. There are news going around saying that the full version will incorporate car damage.

You are foregiven sir as you have seen the error in your judgement.... Now if only we can get Rainman to see the light! Even though he hasn't (or at least hasn't admitted to ;) ) buying the demo.
