I am looking to buy the geforce 2 mx 400 with tv out and just wondering whats everyones thoughts are on it

If TV out is important to you than I would suggest a ATI Radeon 7500 in OEM version. It is faster than a Geforce 2MX but it could cost a tiny bit more OEM versions are around $90.

2 Pluses of the card are it is ddr based, and supports TV out at 1024x768 HDTV vs the old 800x600 .

It also offers better hardware dvd support, and sharper 2 D vieo clarity/quality. My 2 cents worth

Depends how much is the MX.

I know that the ATI Radeon 64DDR VIVO or Radeon 7500 is a better choice.

But abit more pricey although better quality.

My recommendation is dishing out the extra money for the ATI card since ATI is known for a fact for outstanding quality in their cards.

I've got one- its a decent card, tv out works fine.

I'm happy with the card, but I am NOT a hardcore gamer!

(It does oc pretty well now that I put a fan on it though;) )

Do not get the MX for 15 dollars more the Geforce2 GTS or the Radeon 32mbDDr is much better....and if you want high quality tv-out the 7500 is esily the best out there.....and its twice as fast as the mx at least....

try searching on www.pricewatch.com for better prices... if you have a credit card. Newegg.com is an excellent online vendor.

I would personally get a radeon 7500. I think I seen them for 199cnd at compusmart(retail). They are way faster then the mx400. even my radeon le beat it in 1024*768 mode. If you want something a bit cheaper go with the geforce2 ti. It's just as fast as the 7500 and I saw them for as low a 160cnd with tv out.

Nvidia cards are really crap when it comes to TV out, your best bet is to get a ATI card if you want half decent quality

Try www.anitec.ca out of Vancouver BC Canada they have OEM ATI 7500 for $175 Canadian (approx $115 US)which is a damn good deal.

Not sure of the clk/mem but I would say it is probably 270/230 or 250/230 (460 ddr) The 7500 is very overclockable and it will play all games very well.
