I have a kk266+ with an amd 1.4 . I have downloaded the new bios for a reboot problem im having....I also downloaded the awdflash.do i need to put those separatly on 2 floppys??or can i put them on the floppy together?Also i was told to have a boot disk so i can go into dos so i can flash my bios.IM running windows Xp and i didnt make a boot disk when i installed it......he said i could use a window 98 boot disk but i havent got that either from my previous version of the 98..i have the windows 98 cd and the xp cd..................I just need to make a boot disk so i can flash this bios......IM just unsure on how to make a boot disk from my system so i can go into dos when i do the flash.....He said he would talk me thru it when i get that together......any help would be appreciated...

thanx man . i printed out your instructions. 1 question tho is that dr .dos boot image the same as DrDOS 7.X Disk For Bios Flashing Basic-No Drivers
and do i need to set my bios back to default before i flash i have a amd 1.4 @ 1.6
Would be the same. Version doesn't really matter as long as it's a clean (no driver) environment.
I would set my BIOS to default before flashing or at least return to stock speeds. Just removes any chance of anything going wrong.

I normally use a Win Boot disk boot to command prompt (Shift+F5) then insert the disk with the files on.
Always works for me!

jon thanks bro i am now a newbie no more to updating bioses....worked great man and it fixed my usb reboot prob...be good bro
