Hello all,
To celebrate my new PC I decided to buy a game to test it out. I got Burnout Paradise City and a MadCatz 360 pad.
My problem is each time I plug the pad in I lose sound. The Control Panel sound display reads MadCatz headset.
Is there anything I can do to stop this happening when I plug in the controller?
Thanks.

Have you installed drivers for the controller...? Maybe not reading it correctly without proper drivers

In the control panel you should be able to change the default sound device from the Madcatz headset to the sound card, assuming you have drivers installed for both devices. Look for a drop-down box.

I know this might not be too helpful but have you considered returning it and getting the XBOX360 pad from Microsoft?
I use that and i have no problems with it.
Didn't mean to be a downer but they are great pads.

Okay all, thanks for the replies.
Basically I wanted to stop this happening all together but I've found a simple solution....start the game and THEN connect the pad and it doesn't happen. Only if I plug it in and then fire the game up.
Cheers people!
