Another good simulator game has come out called DCS Black shark. Basically it focuses on the KA-50 (my 2nd fav heli behind the Mi-24 :D). It's a falcon 4.0 type game...ultimate simulator that you can feel absolutely lost in. I'm personally getting hooked on this game.

Anyone still playing this? I just picked it up this morning...All I can say is, wow, do you have to go to Ft. Rucker Alabama for 30+ weeks of Flight School to be able to play this game (if you can call it a game  )?
Flew choppers in FSX, and the difference is night and day. Trying to get this baby to hover is intense, just can't seem to keep her steady...constantly wrestling with rudder and cyclic yaw/pitch (seems real touchy). Am I missing somthing? What is your guys' experience and/or suggestions, if any?

They have a build in "cheat" I guess you can call it, key-press shortcut to full auto start up. But yeah, without the shortcut you have to manually flip half the switches in the cockpit in the right order...oh yeah, and ideally you're supposed to do it in 30-45 sec.
Starting her up is the easy part, keeping her steady is a whole other ball game.

most are. I've gotten all the necc mapped to my joystick, but I always seem to use the keybind shortcut to get the engines running. Once I get into the air I'm always pressing switches or resetting trim :).

Trim is the devil...unless I'm completely missing something you have to have the trim button (easy on x52) down in order to perform any manuevers with any kind of stability.

That is fairly accurate. Trim is absolutely easy once you get a hang of flying, you can actually just sit back in your chair and not have any input as your heli flies straight as you want it too. Now if you want to adjust it you do either have to A hold down the trim button and let go when you find a position you want to keep, or B hit the reset trim button in order to fly freely.
Trim, Auto-hover, auto-alt, auto-heading and the like are all incorporated in the heli....very easy to fly, and makes it easy to pop up/hide behind buildings when you are attacking tank columns.
