That would explain why I can't upload or download WU...and to think I have been sat here fighting with my computer over it lol

Its been going down a lot this week it sems, however this morning I was having some issues with my rigs at home not picking up new units. I made some DNS changes on my network and they all picked one up instantly so I wonder if its just an internal problem for me...

Everytime I wake up it seems like my gpu client sits idle for at least 3 hours a night.

Weirrd.. Fortunately, I have my WU from yesterday running. Lets hope they can get them back up!! ahh!!

That video is freaking hilarious. And kinda sad because that is my life and I have had those conversations "You're running AOL on the corporate network?!". I was temped to write an arrange by ***** script lol :).

My GPUs are sitting here just totally out of work... have been for probably 10 hours. I guess I need to manually restart them all.

I knew something was up when my computer room was ~2C cooler than it should be. :D

Edit: NM... restarting hasn't helped. Servers just appear to be way... way... out of it.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the recent server work... as Vijay has been blogging about: http://folding.typepad.com/news/2009/05/index.html

I found my GPU sitting idle lastnight and restarted it, then again this morning I find my GPU is sitting idle again.

I have manually restarted it a few times and it cannot seem to get any new work assignments.

seems to be hit and miss this week, as near as I can tell (and based on pointage) everything was running strong all night for once. Still very frustrating when rigs just sit there idle, so much mhz going to waste :bang head:

Just restarted my GPU client @ 1712 Eastern, and got a new WU. Been idle most of the day.

Seems to me that its more like the GPU clients are having issues getting new WU's and not necessarily that the servers are down. Atleast for me the GPU client has been idle more often than the CPU (discounting the fact that the GPU WUs go faster) but I can tell by logs that the CPUs are still picking up WUs when the GPU are not, or atleast not for quite a while. the GPU on this comp is about to complete in the next few minutes so we will see if it gets another one.

*edit* picked up a new WU just fine. 15:40 MST

New GPU Assignment Server is having a few teething pains. Other clients are unaffected.

My thumbs hurt from twiddling them...

I wonder if I started playing some of my neglected games if that would cause the servers to work again...sort of like washing the car to get it to rain.

Lol guys they go down every night. If you want I will start saving my logs from every night and post them in a thread every morning. My gpu sits idle for hours (3 - 10) every night, or should I say morning (4am-10am) range.

Maybe its a problem with the client.
