Description: The Westinghouse L2220HW is a 21.6 in, flat panel computer monitor.Compared to other flat panel monitors on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $180.It has a built-in set of stereo speakers. This unit features a 1920x1080 native resolution.Weighs 9.3 lbs.
Pros: Reduce the clutter on your desk from external speakers by using this monitor's built-in speakers. This LCD screen has a relatively good contrast ratio (1000:1), which generally makes it easier to see color distinctions against a dark background. Its wide viewing angle (170 degrees) is useful whenever the screen is being viewed by more than one person at the same time.Accepts DVI input, which allows for greater signal clarity than traditional VGA.
Cons: None noted, given available product data.
Suitability: A flat panel monitor, suited for those who want a high-end display for movies, presentations, or design work. The 5 ms response time of this screen makes it ideal for fast-moving games and for watching movies.
Value: Given its very inexpensive price, this monitor has great features for the money. In terms of viewable size, flat panel monitors having comparable viewable size have an average cost of about $690.

Says 170$ on the site. They'd really sell it that much cheaper at B&M?

I have the receipt to show it, This is similar to the Rocketfish case from last year.
I have a second one coming to me tomorrow, the DC area will be cleaned out within a few hours.

Go in and ask them to check the price at the register, if they look on the computer it shows 170.

I just called and they said 91.22. Verified (not in MN though).
By the way when I called I ended up having to go to the geek squad line (ugh) to get through because the other line was crazy busy. I told them right off the bat that I had the sku # and I think he probably just checked it on a register, which would account for my success methinks.

Hows the quality IAmMoen ?
All I have to say is that after working at a Best Buy retail store for ~3 years, Westinghouse was *the* most returned/defective brand of LCD monitors. Even Emachine's didn't come back that as often.
Your experience may vary, just saying that unless they've made drastic changes in the past 12 months I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot poll.
Samsung was the most popular, followed closely by LG. More or less ran the department and was in charge of ordering stock.

now the question is what was the most purchased brand??

A friend and I just picked up the last two.
When asked for a price check the Geek Squad guy was like "This can't be right..."
I laughed and we walked out with both of them with warranties for just under $119.

Usually the employees scoop them up once you call and inform them of the price. hehe Did you get the LCD? :)

Very true but if it isnt used for gaming (thats what my 42 is for), and is only used for web browsing and other non OMGDISMONITORISDABEST applications, it will perform without issue.
Now to figure out what to do with the Benq 20.1 and Viewsonic 19 I have wall mounted..

Well, I'm not even going on the "gaming" aspect. My monitors are not for gaming at all.
I owned a Westinghouse and, while at first, it seemed pretty decent, it eventually had horrible bleed with the backlights. I could clearly tell where they where without trying. The customer service was horrible too.

Fair enough, I got the 4 year BB warranty just in case of. Figure an extra 20 bucks will get me something better in the event that either of them fail regardless of Westinhouses warranty. I usually avoid the warranty but I figured in the off chance, the worst that happens is I get a better monitor for nothing.
I just want to say thanks for the thread. I checked my local stores and they had 2 left about 30 miles away. After about 10 minutes trying to explain to the sale person, she checked with her manager and came back with $91. I already had an older 22" Westinghouse, but this one is way nicer. 1080p :)

If only one person walks away from this thread happy at getting a decent price for a monitor then I am content and feel I did my job by posting it.

Searched all over Orlando to find one...... didn't have any luck. Then I searched back where I used to live before college (jacksonville) they had 5 by my buddies house. Called my buddies and he went up there and bought all 5 of them. (two for the each of them and one to add to my setup) He hasnt gotten home yet to tell me how it is..... I'll keep you informed. Thanks for the find I was thinking about getting a bigger monitor for 1900x1080 but for $90 you can't beat this deal. My mom might go get one because they are in stock by her house as well.

You can use the store locator function on their website to see if one in an area near you has one. Thats how I found them.

Best Buy's website is BS.
It said there were none left in the state of Illinois... this is untrue.

SCORE! I found the last one in Houston - and it just happened to be at the store closest to my house :) . The online store locator indicated NONE were in stock, but a simple phone call confirmed one in stock - I placed it "on hold", and it was put into my hands an hour later. I really wanted 2 of these for the 2 PC's I have setup at this workstation, but I can't find more in stock any closer than 100 miles or so. Oh well.
So far so good. I haven't scrutinized it, but it looks good to me and doesn't appear to have any dead pixels...
Thanks for the links

When I saw this thread I shook my head, said never again and moved on. Glad a few of you got in on this BestBuy deal.
The last time they had 22" LCD's for $49 I made out like a bandit (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=17593473&postcount=1084), but it was a serious agrrevation and I still don't know what actually went down as I got something that was not the sale item.
At Slickdeals the thread was 128 pages long (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=1217615), probably 125 pages were people that were not as fortunate. So no more BestBuy cheap LCD's for me, I have what I need and had more than enough aggrevation getting them at the time. :screwy:
