Of course. Why you would want to do it is another question though.

what do you mean by that, is there no performance boost? Ive seen benchmarks for a 4870 in triple CF beat a 4890 in double crossfire, dunno bout triple crossfire for 4890

Unless you game at 1920x1200 or 2560x1600 you really wont see the REAL benefit of it is what he means I think.

My 2 4890s are a blast to play games with and even with everything on max, they are enough. If I was going to a 30" (which I am planning on eventually), I would look into it.

Well ,main reason for me not to do it , would be there are no board that has 3 16 x PCI E all running at 16 x speeds , so you will have to settle for 16 - 8 - 8 or with X58 chipset 16-16-8 , until they come out with 2 chips on one pcb doesn't seem worth it . also like some people said 2 is plenty enough :)

That was just the first search on Newegg.

I cant help you on the AMD platform though.

i see no board that can do 3 way crossfire at 16 speeds , ther are boards that can do 3 way SLI at 16 speeds , which i just found out O.o , but not crossfire .

im gonna use the i7 920, but lately i have been stuck on which graphics card i should get, been wondering alot, gonna play at resolutions of 1920x1200 at a 24 inch monitor, i was trying to choose between CF 4890, 4870X2 CF, or SLI 260 or triple SLI 260

I got 2 4890s and they kill at 1920x1200 on my 28" screen. My vote goes there for sure. Baddest cards I have owned. Check the sig for on air working clocks. Those are with more volts of course through riva tuner's plug-in.

They look perdy lol.

hehe smexy set up, im also gonna use the HAF 932, i was also pretty sure i was going to use the 4890, because it seems so awesome lol, i heard the 4890 sounds like a lawn mower at higher speeds, is it true? Dont mind me askin, what temps u get on your GPU?

With the fans at 70-85% for gaming at 1000 core, it is a little loud. My temps don't go above 80c with almost 1.425v, but those volts aren't stable as it crashes lol. Stock clocks and mild oc to 950-ish at 1.35v net me around the 70c mark while full on gaming.

I put the side 230 in the empty drive bays blowing towards the back of my case and put 4 120s in its place. I took the red fan from the front and put it away and put the top 230 in its place and went with 2 120s up there. It is cold in the HAF let me tell you.

yeah, thats why im choosing it over the antec 1200, i heard it cools a couple more degrees, whynot just replace the side fan with anothre 230mm fan? its quiter and cools more

Mind me asking, can you fit another fan on the GPU's? like an after market GPU cooler? You can do it on a nvid card, dunno bout ATI cards, btw, awesome cable managment and cable sleeving, love your setup

What games do you play? At what fps on average? :P And i was looking at your GPU, damn 4.3 Ghz, what temps do you get idle/load?

And are those 2 fans on your heatsink? Hah! i dident know you could do that...

Editing my post agian, how did u attach the 230mm fan to that empty hard drive? Any modding you had to do, other than cable sleeving

Lol. 3 HD4890's wouldn't even physically fit on that motherboard.

lol, I was just looking for the pci-e x16 slots, not if it would be capable. Sorry for that.

Yes you can, the only problem that might occur is if the cards will be touching or in the way of each other once the aftermarket coolers are on there. It all depends on what coolers you go with for that one though.

Far Cry 2, Cod4 and 5, Grid and a few others. I have played with Crysis and I don't like the game play at all but it does look awesome with dx10 and I get around 40 fps on avg at my res. Very, very playable I might add. The rest of the games I play have a ridiculous amount of fps and are so smooth

And are those 2 fans on your heat sink? Hah! i didn't know you could do that...

Yessir, push/pull works very well for me and I suggest it to anyone with a similar tower type cooler.

Editing my post again, how did u attach the 230mm fan to that empty hard drive? Any modding you had to do, other than cable sleeving

Everything about the case is bone stock except the removal and repositioning of the fans. I used zip ties to hold it like that and it does not move at all. Overall I am very pleased with the HAF and suggest it as a purchase if anyone is in need of a new case.

lmao you beat me to it!

triple xfire will work and would be awesome but you wont see a huge boost in performance like when you go from single to xfire....but if you have the money **** it!

or get your self 2 gtx 295's ;)

Saw a guy at a lan party that had 3 GTX 295s in tri-sli (or is that really sextuple sli?).

I was stupefied.

its triple sli, even though each card is a dbl.

I just pondered on this since he talked about the 16x / 8x pci-e slots. Since they are the newer 2.0 ver. would the 8x run at 2.0 speed or would it run at the old 1.0 speed?? And if it ran 8x 2.0 would it be same as running 16x 1.0?? Or did i just get everyone all confused?

I'm pretty sure it still runs at the 2.0 speed. Anyone know if the 4890 needs more bandwidth than 8x 2.0 provides?

You cannot run them in triple sli, it only has a single sli connector for 2 lol.
He is either not using the 3rd gpu at all, or using it for physx (both are waste of money, even a GTX260 can handle physX whilst using it for gaming at the same time)
