OMG NO! 5 NS RAM on 8500??

but I just got my AIW 8500 from ATI website...


my ram reads:

Samsung 148
k40263238m-OC50


please tell me I don't have 5.0 ns ram!!!



the overclocking software don't even work correcty...

and powerstrip starts at 230core /190mem..

did I just blow all my money on the WORST AIW IN THE WORLD!!???

AIWs are clocked lower than normal Atis, thats normal.,...just start overclocking.....also 5ns should get up to 460...so its not that bad....you can still beat a Ti200....

sounds like it....if its clocked at 193 then it probably is

A bios flash would only work if you edit an AIW bios to the speeds you want. Otherwise you'd lose all the AIW features or worst case kill your card.

lol, I had the complete opposite reaction you did when I pried off my RAMsinks. I thought I'd find 4.5ns RAM under the crappy stock Visiontek GeForce2 Ultra RAMsinks, imagine my surprose when it was 4ns! =)_)

my radeon 7000 was an SE... had 200mhz ram.clock..

now my new card is the same level... how pathetic is that...


tho I score 2100 pts higher in 3dmark :P
